Who is the template aimed at?
X-Cart developers and store owners requiring a fast-track, highly optimised and search engine friendly template.

Which version of X-Cart is this for?
v4.1.11 Gold Stores. The template is based on the 'Light and Lucid' theme as starting point, with NO additional modules installed.

Is it available for X-Cart Pro stores?
Not at the moment. If there is enough demand, we'll make it available.

What parts of the store have been converted to table-less?
Homepage, category pages, product pages, product search pages, manufacturer search pages.

What parts of the store haven't been converted to table-less?
Non-product pages such as the cart, checkout, contact pages etc. The entire admin side is untouched.

Has anything been taken out?
The printable store version has been removed to avoid search engines picking up duplicate content.

Does the skin include the conversion of X-Cart modules, eg. X-Affiliate?
No, it is based on a 'vanilla' X-Cart Gold v4.1.11, with no additional modules installed.

Why have you not converted all pages to table-less?
It's not necessary. We recommend that non-product pages are blocked from major search engines with the use of a robots.txt file (included).

Can I use an URL rewriting mod with it?
Yes, it's highly recommended that you use one to increase SEO. It is compatible with them all. XC-SEO is available free.

I heard that X-Cart v4.2 will come with a CSS template, should I wait for that instead?
v4.1.x is now a mature, stable and secure branch of X-Cart and you would be wise to stick with it until v4.2.x is fully launched and thoroughly tested. It's likely that many existing mods will need to be re-written for v4.2.x stores. In any case, the v4.2 CSS template will be nothing new, merely the 'Light n Lucid' template redone.

What about adding third party mods?
If you have some knowledge of CSS, in most cases, adding/converting third party mods should not be a problem. We can always convert mods to table-less for you if necessary.

How easy is it to modify?
The template comes with a variety of colours schemes that may be suitable out of the box. However, altering any colour scheme is quite simple, the CSS files are well commented.

I don't know much CSS, is it really for me?
It's recommeded that you have at least a basic knowledge of cascading style sheets. If you are a novice to CSS and are daunted by the thoughts of integrating the template into your store, then we can do this for you.

How much does it cost?
$99, or $148 with installation.

I require some other features and modifications added, can you help?
For small additional fees, we can offer 'bolt-on' mods such as 'recently viewed products', 'newest products', 'dynamic image resizing', various lightbox mods, URL rewriting mods etc. etc.

If I purchase, will I be eligible for future upgrades?
Yes, you will be entitled to updates within the v4.1.x branch when available.
